The GE replacement water filter is designed for use with GE side-by-side and GE profile side-by-side refrigerators starting from the 2007 model year. This filter is capable of reducing a wide range of waterborne contaminants including mercury, toxaphene, P-Dichlorobenzene, carbofuran, alachlor, and benzene. It also effectively reduces lead, cryptosporidium, and giardia.

The slim design of this filter allows for quick and easy installation and removal, with no tools required. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6 months for optimal performance. The filter has a rated capacity of 300.0 gallons and is NSF 42 and NSF 53 certified. It uses Carbon Block as the filter media and offers high reduction rates for various contaminants such as 2,4-D, asbestos, atrazine, benzene, carbofuran, chlorine taste and odor, cysts, lead, lindane, mercury, toxaphene, and more.

Please be aware that seeing dust particles at the opening/tip of the water filter is common, as it is a result of carbon block dust. This is why it is recommended to purge the filters when installing them. This genuine GE factory filter is compatible with side-by-side refrigerators and has an operation water pressure range of 40 psi minimum to 120 psi maximum.
